hello dear, wonderful followers.

you may (or may not?) have noticed my lack of time i’ve been spending on tumblr recently (i can’t even remember the last time i bothered to make any gifs), so i just wanted to fill everyone in on what exactly is going on.

my mum has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and it doesn’t look good for her pulling through this. her doctor isn’t even sure she’ll be strong enough for chemotherapy.

all of this has happened so suddenly. she started getting sick about six or seven weeks ago, five of which she’s been in the hospital for. we only found out the severity of the situation last week. it’s the nature of this type of cancer. when the symptoms start to show, it’s often too late.

i’m numb about the whole thing and can’t quite get my head around what’s happening. most of my time is spent visiting her in the hospital, or just being out of the house with my friends - just doing anything to get out and take my mind off it all.

i just want you all to know that i’m not abandoning tumblr. i know so many of you follow me for my friends gifs, of which i have made none of recently. i just don’t care about anything like that right now. i’m sure i’ll be back to making them at some point down the line, i just don’t know when that will be.

i hope you all understand. *i* will understand if you choose to unfollow me.

i just need to spend my time elsewhere for now.

aw, thanks, bb. going through a bit of a tough time at the moment, unfortunately, so really havent had much time for tumblr. i’ll probably make a post explaining everything soon.
